AMY WESOLOWSKY

Miss Amy's love of dance began at a very young age, and she has always dreamed of becoming a dance instructor. She began dancing at the age of 4 in Fox Creek, and continued dancing when she moved to Edson. She competed in many styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and modern. Miss Amy earned her Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta in 2011, and became an ADAPT certified instructor in tap and jazz in 2018. Miss Amy is also a certified Dance Pl3y instructor for both adults and kids, and has received training in many partner dance styles. Miss Amy has taken many other certification courses, including Preschool Acrobatic Arts, Acrobatic Arts Module 1, Spectacle Blue Aerial Arts Training Level 1, Alixa Flexibility Modules 1 and 2, International Dance Teaching Standards Level 1, and PAEC Associate Level in Urban Dance. She started teaching for Edson Recreational Dance (now Edson Dance Academy) in 2011, and took over as studio owner in 2013. 

SARAH STEWART

Miss Sarah started dancing at the age of 5. She started with Ukrainian dancing and after a few years got the chance to study ballet. She also studied jazz, tap, and hip hop through her local dance studio. Miss Sarah went on to post secondary at the University of Alberta where she received a Bachelor of Education with an elementary education major and a special education minor. After living in Edson for several years and school teaching full time, Miss Sarah began volunteering for Edson Recreational Dance and taking adult classes. Miss Sarah then took on the KinderCombo class in 2016 and Tiny Tots in 2017. Miss Sarah enjoys teaching the little ones to love moving and dancing.

TRACY ACORN

Miss Tracy's love of dance started at a young age and she continued to foster that passion by training at a local dance studio for 9 years. It was during this time that she explored ballet, contemporary, lyrical, modern, and jazz. Miss Tracy's passion for dance continued into adulthood as she took hip hop classes to broaden her skill sets as a dancer. Her love of working with children led Miss Tracy to teaching, and she graduated with her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta in 2007. Combining her passion for dance and a decade of working with youth, Miss Tracy is excited to be working as an instructor for Edson Dance Academy

CARA DEPEE

Miss Cara started dancing when she was 4 years old. She has taken classes in tap, jazz, and ballet. Miss Cara fell in love with Highland dancing, and she danced competitively throughout her school years. She has experience teaching Tiny Tots, Highland, and adult Zumba classes. She loves working with children and has a background in Early Childhood Education. She is very excited to share her passion for dance with Edson Dance Academy.

MIKAILA PERRINO

Miss Mikaila was an avid athlete growing up, and competed in both swimming and volleyball. In her adult years, she discovered a love of all aerial arts, and decided to pursue instructor training. Miss Mikaila is Acrobatic Arts and Spectacle Blue Level 1 certified. She is passionate about training well rounded performers that have both the strength and artistry to perform in their aerial or acrobatic arts routines.
