DO I HAVE TO PAY MY FEES ONLINE?

No, you can arrange other payment options with Edson Dance Academy, such as etransfer, cash, or cheque. Fees paid online will also be subject to a 3.5% convenience fee (to offset fees from the online processing system).

All fees must be paid in full by DECEMBER 1, 2023.

WHAT ARE THE ATTENDANCE EXPECTATIONS?

Dancers are expected to attend classes, extra rehearsals, and all performances as scheduled and on time. We ask families to make every effort to do this as it makes it difficult for the teacher and the rest of the class when dancers are frequently late or absent. Dancers have committed to being part of a team. Your team needs you at every class.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY DANCER IS GOING TO MISS A CLASS?

Please notify us at edsondanceacademy@gmail.com if your child will be absent.

HOW LONG IS THE EDA DANCE SEASON?

The EDA 2023/24 recreational dance season will be 23 weeks long.

Our season starts the week of September 11 and runs to December 15. We then take a Christmas Break. We resume classes January 8 and run until March 15.

Our competitive classes will run for 30 weeks, until May 10.

IF MY CHILD JOINS THE EDA TEAM, DO THEY HAVE TO DANCE COMPETITIVELY?

No! Edson Dance Academy strives to provide quality dance education for all dancers, whether they want to dance recreationally or competitively. Most of our classes are recreational classes that only perform for family and friends at our Christmas and Year End recitals. For students looking to dance competitively, we offer a competitive class in each style (hip hop, jazz, ballet, tap, modern, musical theatre, and lyrical). These classes will attend 3 dance festivals in the spring as well as perform at our Year End recital.

WHY DO COMPETITIVE CLASSES COST MORE?

Our competitive classes will have a longer season (30 weeks rather than 23) to accommodate festival dates.
