IMPORTANT DATES 2024-25

NO CLASS DATES

Throughout the season, we have several no class dates due to holidays or non-school days. Those are:

October 12-14 (Thanksgiving weekend)
October 31 (Halloween)
November 7-11 (Fall Break)
December 15-January 5 (Christmas Break)
February 6/7 (Teacher's Convention)
February 16/17 (Family Day Weekend)
March 27-April 6 (Spring Break-this only applies for our competitive students)

IMPORTANT EVENTS

Recitals, dance photos, and more! Please note, most of these dates are tentative, as they could change due to availability of the space.

October 6-11 - Costume measuring week
October 18, 24-30 - Halloween Week at the studio
November 18-22 - Parent Watch Week (parents can come in for the last 10 minutes of class)
December 1 - some recreational classes perform for the residents of Parkland Lodge
December 8 - remainder of recreational classes perform for continuing care
December 6, 8-12 - PJ Week
December 13 - Christmas Recital (location TBD)
January 6-11 - Photo Week
March 2-7 - Bring a Friend Week (recreational classes only)
March 10-14 - Dress Rehearsal Week
March 14 - last day of recreational classes
March 15/16 - Year End Recital
May 5-8 - last week of competitive classes, Bring a Friend Week (competitive classes)
May 9 - Competitive class wrap up

PLEASE NOTE - we will have additional dates for dress rehearsals and other activities. These will be posted as they are set.

FEES AND DEADLINES

Costume fees ($80/class) will be posted October 1, 2024.
Extra work applications are due October 1, 2024.
Competitive Fees ($120 for all competitive classes) will be posted November 1, 2024.
ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY DECEMBER 1, 2024.

FESTIVAL DATES

We have added an additional OPTIONAL festival this year.

March 28-30 Sparkle Dance Festival, Camrose (optional)

April 9-13 Sundance Stars Festival, Fort Saskatchewan (all competitive students)

April 24-27 Plie Prep Festival, Morinville (all competitive students)

April 30-May 4 Evergreen Dance Festival, Sherwood Park (all competitive students)

COLD WEATHER POLICY

If buses have been cancelled due to inclement weather, we will also cancel dance classes. We understand that many of our families are coming from out of town and we want to make sure they stay safe. If your child's class is cancelled due to inclement weather, a makeup class will be scheduled.
